Our Scrap metal Recycling Process
When scrapping your car, you will need to choose a scrap car and metal buyer that is reputable and is attached to the most official agencies. Craddock Metal Recycling are proud to be members of the BMRA (British Metals Recycling Association), ensuring that we comply to their high standards and keep the customer’s interests at the forefront of the work we do.
When choosing to begin the scrap car process with Craddock Metal Recycling, you need to ensure you bring all the relevant documentation and identification to ensure that the process is carried out legally. Documents you’ll need to provide us with include:
- Your vehicle registration document (V5C form)
- Photo identification (such as passport or driving licence)
- Valid proof of address (such as bank or credit card statement, or utility bill)
As scrap metal buyers, we take care in operating an on-site weighbridge with a weighing capacity of 60,000 Kgs, complying with all necessary legislations to ensure that weighbridge is managed correctly and safely. The Craddock Metal Recycling team can even come to your premises to collect a small volume of scrap metal, or we can instead arrange for a skip delivery to arrive, free of charge, for a large collection of scrap metal.
